Optique adaptative et telescopes geants

Adaptive optics (AO), now installed on all the astronomical ground-based telescopes, make it possible to overcome angular resolution limitations imposed by atmospheric turbulence. This article presents state-of-the-art in field of applications, and shows how adaptive has revolutionized observation over last twenty years, overcoming countless scientific technical challenges. Finally, we present concept will be applied, 2030, future giant telescopes answer some astronomy’s most fundamental questions concerning birth universe or existence life outside solar system.
